Abstract watercolor in yellow

Suppose that before that eventful day when Gabriel visited Mary, Father God and Jesus were talking. It might have gone something like this.

Father God stands and turns to face his son. “I’ve been intervening in humanity from here since the beginning,” he says. “It isn’t working. I have talked till I’m blue in the face through the prophets, teachers, and priests. It’s time to do something else. It’s time to intervene from among them, as one of them. I’m tired of depending on others to get my love out and my work done, they’re not very good at it. For one thing, they aren’t equipped for it, they are incapable of doing this on their own. For another, they won’t listen to me or do it my way. Without a physical form I’m just too big and vague for them.

So, Jesus, it’s your turn. They are so lost to the spiritual, so confined to the physical. Through you we will finally be a body they can see and a voice they can hear. We will be able to work one-on-one directly among them. When your work in the physical is done there we will give them the ability to be spiritual through Holy Spirit, but until then we will become physical for them. Are you ready to see our creation from the inside? The sun from below? Are you ready to join creation as the Creator within the created? Are you ready to fully become one of them?”

As a result of that conversation Jesus, as man, danced joyfully across the earth, loving people and following his Father. Through his death he fulfilled the law and changed everything from the physical to the spiritual. His goal was to restore our relationship with God back to what Adam and Eve had in the garden of Eden.

I wrote this from what I felt Jesus was saying to each and every one of us.

“Hey. I’m Jesus and I’ve come to change your world. Not just the world, your world. Look at the adventure and destiny you can have with me. Look at how your life can become a supernatural dance of joy and fulfillment by walking with me. Come on, let’s go! I’ve come to bring light and joy into a dark and tired place. The world is waiting for us to come leaping over the mountains and skipping over the hills to the lost and dying, the lonely and tired, the bored and existing.

But first, look in my eyes and see my love for you. Look in my soul and see my longing for you. Look in my Spirit and see your Bridegroom Lover, waiting for you. First, before we go running together, stop and look at me. Really look at me. Look inside me and see my heart for you. Drop your ideas and notions of what I want and don’t want, what I’m ready to judge you for or discipline you for, and just listen to my heart. I’m in love with you. You are my beloved, my spouse, the lover of my soul. Come away with me, into my inner chambers, into my place of rest, into my private courts and rooms, and let’s get to know each other.

Drop your masks, your fears, your layers of protective clothing, and show me the real you. I promise to treat you tenderly, not to wound you or expose you to others who would tear you down. You can trust me. I promise not to rush you but I’m anxious for us to be together, for us to be one. I can’t wait to walk as one heart, one soul, and one Spirit. So I will encourage you, tease you, woo you, and do anything I can think of to entice you further along with me. Let’s go, I’ve waited a long time for this. Have you any idea of the places I want to take you and the things I want to show you?

Next, I want you to go with me taking the supernatural, through Holy Spirit, and liberally sprinkling it over the earth. Everywhere you set your foot you will leave my presence behind. Take my supernatural love, power, and healing, and give it to anyone who’ll accept it. Use it not only for needs and desires, the desperate and the not-so-desperate, but use it for fun. Use it as examples, as tools, as proof that you’re from me. Use it to make people cry and to make people laugh. Use my supernatural love and power as a means of provision, healing, or even a means for fun, but always use it as a way to show my people that I love them and want them to love me. As long as it points them to me, take the supernatural and run with it.

Keep your eyes on me and when you have questions about living in the power of Holy Spirit just watch what I’m doing and do the same. You have an unlimited supply of the supernatural, through Holy Spirit, and the more you give away and use it the more abundantly it will follow you and cling to you. To keep it is to lose it; to have it is to give it away. Use it in love, in mercy, and in Holy Spirit’s power. Be an example to the generations to come of what they have in me and how they are to walk with me. Show them how it’s done. Be liberal! There is no limit to what you can do with it. Get creative. See how many ways you can find to use it for me. You will never run out of new ways and ideas to supernaturally touch people with my love for them. As long as you love me and walk with your eyes on me it will never leave you. Go and have fun spreading my love and joy to the world.

Come away, my lover, and be like a gazelle or like a young stag on the spice-laden mountains.
